JOB DESCRIPTION
Registered Dental Hygienist (40 hrs/week)
VIG Dental Inc.
On Site (5 days a week)

Essential Functions:
- Perform diagnostic procedures using digital radiographs to capture detailed images of dental structures and conditions.
- Conduct perio-charting assessments and interpret the findings to identify and evaluate the presence and severity of periodontal disease.
- Demonstrate proficiency in recognizing various stages of periodontal disease and providing relevant information to patients.
- Educate patients on the nature of periodontal disease, its causes, progression, and associated risk factors, fostering understanding and encouraging preventive measures.
- Administer local anesthesia as required for dental procedures, ensuring patient comfort and minimizing discomfort during treatment.
- Execute dental prophylaxis, scaling, and root planning procedures to remove plaque, tartar, and bacteria from teeth and below the gum line, promoting oral health and preventing periodontal disease progression.
- Place dental sealants on susceptible teeth and take impressions for various dental restorations, contributing to the preservation of dental health and integrity.
- Maintain cleanliness and sterility of dental instruments through meticulous cleaning and sterilization procedures following established protocols, ensuring a safe and hygienic working environment.
- Communicate effectively with Spanish-speaking clients when necessary, demonstrating language proficiency and cultural sensitivity to facilitate clear understanding and optimal patient care.
Qualifications Required:
- Associate in Applied Science in Dental Hygiene
- Valid Registered Dental Hygienist License
- 2 Years of Experience as a Registered Dental Hygienist
- Spanish Speaking
Salary: $87,000 – $88,000
